Go Construct

Go Construct is an industry-wide initiative that aims to attract, inform and retain a talented workforce for the Construction & Built Environment sector. The Go Construct website has a toolkit of resources available for professionals who may be involved in promoting careers in construction and the built environment.

Open Doors 16-21 March 2020

Open Doors Week aims to inspire more people into the construction industry by letting them go ‘behind the scenes’ to discover the diverse and rewarding range of career paths the industry has to offer, as well as changing people’s perceptions of construction.

Education Business Exchange

Careers Wales manage a list of employers who are interested in engaging with schools and colleges to develop exciting curriculum enhancing programmes for learners.

The Education Business Exchange is designed to be used by teachers and careers advisers to select employers who can support their curriculum through a variety of activities.

Have a Go Wales

The Have a Go initiative encourages engagement from young people, with the aim of increasing participation in vocational pathways in a range of sectors, including construction and building services engineering.

Some centres have successfully used the kit and activities available either at open days, in clubs or for lessons.
